Tomales Bay State Park is a California state park in Marin County, California. It consists of approximately 2,000 acres divided between two areas, one on the west side of Tomales Bay and the other on the east side.

POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE
40 minutes down Hwy 1 from Dillon Beach!
Point Reyes National Seashore is a vast expanse of protected coastline in Northern California’s Marin County. Beaches here include Wildcat Beach, with the cliffside Alamere Falls. On a rocky headland, the 1870 Point Reyes Lighthouse is a viewpoint for migrating gray whales. The Phillip Burton Wilderness features extensive trails through grassland, firs and pine forest, and up to the peak of Mount Wittenberg.

25 minutes north of Dillon Beach!
Bodega Bay is a hub of coastal related activities!  Whale watching, seafood, art, history, fishing and more, you can find it in Bodega Bay!  Check out the Hitchcock House or film festival, Kite Month, any number of art galleries and nearby wineries, or charter a boat and head out into the open sea!

Preserved by a lumberman, Colonel Armstrong, in the 1870s, Armstrong Redwoods Natural Reserve is 805 acres of coast redwoods, the tallest living organisms in the world!  The grove offers solace from the hustle and bustle of daily life, offering the onlooker great inspiration and a place for quiet reflection.

GOAT ROCK BEACH
Just south of Jenner-by-the-Sea!
Goat Rock Beach is located between Goat Rock Point and the Russian River along the Sonoma County shore near the town of Jenner.  It’s a very popular stop along the coastal highway. There’s often a local colony of seals found at the mouth of the river. Goat Rock Beach is an excellent beachcombing beach with driftwood and other items to discover!

SHELL BEACH

Shell Beach is a favorite location for beachcombing and tidepooling.  State Park Roving Naturalist Program docents can be found on this an other beaches to help you safely learn about the flora and fauna of our coast.  Dogs allowed on leash.
